Day 01    Arrive Leh
On arrival, you will be received and transferred to your hotel.

Day is free to acclimatize with the high altitude weather.

After Lunch, start exploring Leh with the visit of the Leh palace and the white-domed chorten known as Shanti Stupa.
After sunset, spend some time exploring the local markets, which will give you a peel int to the Ladakhi culture .

Day 02    Excursion to Alchi
After breakfast, set off  for the excursion  to Alchi village. You will visit the ancient Alchi monastery- one of the oldest centers for Buddhist learning in Ladakh and the Likir Monastery- known for the beautiful statue of Maitreya Buddha. Also visit the Sangam (confluence of two rivers)- a serene spot  where the Indus river meet Zanskar river.
Apart from these, pay homage to the martyrs of the Indo-Pak War at the Hall of Fame. Also take a ride on the gravity-defying hill named Magnetic Hill .

Day 03    Drive to Nubra (160 Kms, 5 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven to Nubra Valley- The valley of flowers. Enroute visit Khardung-la-pass.
On arrival check in to your camps.
Nubra valley (“the valley of flowers” in Local language) actually comprises a part along the Nubra river (Sumur, Panamik) and other along the Shayok river (Diskit, Hunder, Turtuk)
Later visit the Diskit monastery -founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 15 century. It's the largest and oldest gompa in the Nubra valley.
Ride on a camel’s back (direct payment) through the rolling Hunder sand dunes. The double-humped Bactrian camels were brought from the Gobi desert in Mongolia when the Nubra valley was a stoppage amid the Silk route between Central Asia and India.

Day 04    Turtuk Excursion
After breakfast, trip to the remote village of Turtuk, India’s northernmost village located just 12 km from the line of Control with Pakistan. From Hunder, it is a scenic 80-km drive along the Shayok river to reach Turtuk.
The village is inhabited by approximately 3,500 Balti people, an ethnic group
of Tibetan origin. On a clear day, the summit of K2 peak (the second highest mountain on
earth) can be seen at a distance

Day 05    Drive to Pangong (250 Kms/7 hrs)
After Breakfast proceed for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) the highest salt water Lake in the World. Its also an important breeding ground for migratory birds such as brahmini ducks, seagulls and bar-headed geese. The breathtaking Pangong lake is located at an elevation 4,250m. It is 140km in length and 70% of it lies in Tibet.
On arrival check in to the camps.
Rest of the days is at leisure. You can explore the lake side area on your own.
Overnight at camps
Day 06    Drive to Leh (220 Kms/6 hrs)
After a leisurely morning, you will be driven back to Leh.
Cross one of the highest drivable mountain passes in the world, Chang La
(5,360m),before dropping down into the Indus valley. On the way visit Hemis Monastry, Thiksey and Shey Palace.
On arrival check in to your hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure. Explore local markets for the best souvenirs you can for you loved ones from Leh

Day 07    Fly Back
Today you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back to home.

Operational information:

  • Travelers will have to share a room on gender basis unless they are couple
  • Journey will start and end at Ladakh airport
  • Travelers have to make their own arrangements for arrival and departure from Leh airport
  • Few places are at High altitude and hence travelers should be in good physical condition. Travelers above 50 Yrs with medical condition should consult their doctors first.
  • Twin rooms (two separate beds in a room) are not readily available hence we will provide a double bed for two persons with two separate bedding (blankets/linen).
  • Most of the hotels/camps are of standard category and the buffet meals are pretty basic having limited menu. However, hotels/camps do prefer to know your requirement a day prior and will be happy to serve you.
